PYTHON LESSON 3 OF 32

Numbers, text & booleans

Integers are whole numbers, floats have decimal points, strings hold text, and booleans are True or False. type() tells you the type. Python uses types to decide which operations make sense.

Hinglish mein samjhein

int poore numbers, float decimal numbers, str text aur bool True/False hota hai. type() se value ki type pata chalti hai. Har type par alag operations hote hain.

Practice: price float rakho aur learning print karo taaki True dikhe.

A small Python example

age = 12
price = 49.5
name = "Asha"
learning = True
print(type(price).__name__)

The browser playground runs real Python with Pyodide. Use sample variables instead of interactive input(). Browser package support differs from desktop Python.

Try this example in the Python playground →

Practise this idea

Keep price a float and print learning so True appears in the output.

Check answer & explanation
age = 12
price = 49.5
name = "Asha"
learning = True
print(type(price).__name__)
print(learning)

49.5 remains a float. The boolean is True without quotes; printing learning makes its value visible.
