LearnLab Cookies & Browser Storage Policy
Cookies and local storage are different
The learning app does not set a progress cookie. It uses browser local storage so the same browser can remember completed lessons without a login. The wider hosting website may use its own cookies; read the Excel Keys cookie policy for those services.
What this application stores
excelkeys-learn-v2: compact course counts, completion dates, preferences and recent learning dates.learnlab-motion: your animation on/off preference.- Scoped service-worker caches: application files, visited learning pages and optional assets after use.
Offline cache and speed
The initial landing cache is deliberately small. Course data, the SQL runtime and certificate templates/fonts cache only as those features are used. Offline resources are stored on the learner’s device, not as extra per-user files on the website server. Clearing the offline cache alone is different from resetting the local progress record.
How to change or remove storage
Use Reset in My progress to restart the selected course, or use the browser’s site-data settings to clear local storage and cached files. If storage is blocked, progress may last only for the current session. Private browsing and automatic storage eviction can remove records. Export a progress backup before clearing data if you want to keep it.
Analytics and advertising cookies
LearnLab itself does not set advertising cookies. When Excel Keys enables Google Analytics or Google AdSense on these pages, those services may set their own cookies; the Excel Keys cookie policy lists the services in use. If advertising is added, vendors including Google may use advertising cookies and related identifiers. The operator must disclose the actual services and provide applicable consent controls. Consent requirements vary by location and service; the current animation toggle and course-progress controls are not an advertising-consent tool.
